Nice to meet you,

I'm Dr. Yashoda

My numerous years of working as a physician, caring for the sickest of the sick, has proved that my calling is to help people any way I can.

I quit my hospitalist job in 2018 thinking I would never practice medicine again. However,

when the pandemic struck, I felt compelled to "jump back in the saddle". I worked for 3 telehealth companies, seeing COVID patients all across the US.

In addition, I became an ICF Certified Life Coach, a Certified Money Coach(CMC)® and got Board Certified in Lifestyle Medicine, because I realized that mental and emotional health are the critical bedrocks to overall wellness.

I bring my vast array of skills to the coaching engagement with my clients,

Hey, I'm Dr. Yashoda

a bit more about

My story

I grew up in India in a fairly typical middle class setting. It was my parents' dream that I become the first physician in my entire extended family. Being the first born and the classic "good child", I put my heart and soul into making their dream come true.
By chance, I had an arranged marriage and moved to the US. (Not part of the plan!)

After a stint in Kuwait, being a stay-at-home-mom to two young sons, I returned to the US to complete my residency in Internal Medicine.

Our family was re-united after spending a very difficult 3 years apart.

I was initially happy in my job as a hospitalist. But after several years, I became disillusioned by the system, increasing administrative burden and the overall focus on "sick care".

That's when my personal development journey began. In 2016, I became a Certified Facilitator of the Whole Health Medicine Institute program.

The most relevant part of that training was "Heal the Healer".

In 2017, I became a Certified Meditation Instructor under Susan Piver as I saw the effects of meditation and mindfulness in my own life.

My journey of self discovery and healing is ongoing, for myself personally as well as in service of my clients.

Having overcome burnout and yet having a fire in my belly to continue to serve, coaching is the perfect vehicle to deliver RESULTS that my clients are looking for.

I am active on the AMWA (American Medical Women's Association) coaching committee as well as helping coach physicians and other healthcare professionals as part of CFI, Coaching for Institutions.

I have more than 350 hours of coaching experience, and I love watching my clients become more joyous, content and emotionally at the best they have ever been!!
